Ciao Anton :-)

The marriage took place in Boletto.

Giovanni Battista Piralla, 27, carpenter, born in Alzo, a frazione of Pella; son of deceased Maruizio, carpenter, and living Giuseppa Randelli, peasant farmer, both residing in Alzo;
AND
Catterina Lilla, 37, peasant farmer, born in Souzza (sp?), daughter of living Antonio, porperty owner, and deceased Domenica Gini, peasant farmer.

Date of marriage was 8 December 1872, date of the extract copy seems to be 9 December 1872.

They are certificates, not extracts...
The estratto per riassunto dell’atto di nascita would also include the hour of the birth and any annotation, such as subsequent marriages.
The estratto per copia integrale dell’atto di nascita is a true copy of the birth act, often it is a photocopy.

A lot of people think that estratto is an abstract, or excerpt...

Hi Tessa :)
Thank you once again for your help, and of course also Livio :)

Can you make out the names of the parents on this birth cert. from 1867 from Davide Dacomo?

A help to reading the names is to go to stevemorse.org, key in the town you are looking in and nothing else. It will give you a list of people from that town who immigrated through Ellis Island. You will also see strange misspellings of the names and can see how people can "lose" their relatives in the search process. By having this list of names available, it has been helpful to me to learn the names of the town's population and to better recognize them when written in long hand so long ago.
