Antonio nappi and filomenia napolitano comziano

Post by Anappi »

Do you have any information on Antonio Nappi and Filomenia Napolitano from Comziano Italy? These were my grandfather's parents he was Severino (Sam) Nappi. He had a brother Joseph Nappi.
His cousin was Louise Nappi, was born May 17th, 1903 near Naples, Italy. Her family immigrated to America from Comiziano (12 miles east of Naples) when she was three years old. Her mother’s parents were Filomena Naples and Sabatillo (Sam) Nappi. Sam came over to America the first time around 1899 or 1900, then returned to Italy to bring Filomena back to the USA. The family made three trips back and forth to Italy over a period of a few years before permanently settling in the United States. Louise, (Marie’s Mother) was actually born in Italy. They returned to the states in about 1903, lived in Scranton, Pa for a short time where Lucy was born (second daughter). Then they all returned to Italy again for a short period and had Carmella (3rd born daughter) in 1906 almost at the foothills of Mt. Vesuvius during its eruption of 1906. Son Victor was born in 1910 in Italy. When Victor was about 9 months old the entire family sailed back to the USA for the last time.

After arriving in the USA for the final time they settled in Schenectady, NY where Nick was born in 1912 (4th child), next came daughter Ann 1914, then in 1916, Sam was born. The family moved to Syracuse, NY in 1919 where Joe (the last childe) was born. Joe would eventually grow up to marry Laura Nappi (Floyd Colang’s sister).

Samuel Nappi(louise's father) had a brother named Joe who lived on Bushwick Ave in Brooklyn, New York. Samuel also had a sister named Theresa who also lived in Brooklyn. Filomena(louise's mother)had a brother named Pasquale who lived in Syracuse, New York, and a sister, (first name unknown) Napolitano, who lived in Schenectady, New York.

Louise married John Masucci on October 10th, 1925 and had two daughters, Rita and Marie.
