Guarini
Guarini
Can anyone find me info about Anna Antonia Guarini when she came over to the United States in 1891. I think her husband died in Italy. She had two children Carmela and Angela Muliere but Anna may have gotten remarried in the States is there anyway to see what happened to her?
Re: Guarini
Hi, I know not if the records that I found could be abt your ancestors, however because the surnames are from Potenza area, and Muliere especially is in Trivigno town,
I searched in Trivigno civil records and I found this very probable records, and my opinion is that they are rights abt your ancestors:
-Angela MULIERE born in Trivigno ( Potenza province, Basilicata region, IT) the 1 June 1883 daughter of Michele 23 old, farmer and Anna Antonia GUARINI 22 old farmer
http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/3271 ... ebirth.jpg
-Carmela MULIERE born in Trivigno ( Potenza province, Basilicata region, IT) the 29 November 1884 daughter of Michele farmer and Ann Antonia GUARINI http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2111 ... ebirth.jpg
-Anna Rosa MULIERE born in Trivigno ( Potenza province, Basilicata region, IT) the 5 August 1886 daughter of Michele (absent at Anna Rosa time birth) and of Anna Antonia GUARINI; the informant was the midwife in place of baby's father( absent)
http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/5509 ... ebirth.jpg
Anna Rosa Muliere died in 1888
no more child born in Trivigno; in 1886 Michele was absent, and I believe he emigrated around the 1886 or later..
by the ship's manifest of Anna Antonia and children (you have it ..surely) the ages matching:
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5200 ... uliere.jpg
I searched in the deaths from 1886 to 1891 and Michele no died, so he emigrated surely also and the wife and children joined it in 1891;
but because you said that Anna Antonia remarried, Michele must be died in USA...
and at last the marriage act:
MULIERE Michele Arcangelo( son of Francesco MULIERE and Angela COSTANZO) and GUARINI Anna Antonia ( daughter of Leonardo GUARINI and Carmela CIANI decesead)
married in Trivigno on 4 June 1882
http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/6485 ... rriage.jpg
maybe you recognize some names and you can say if the above records are ok....

Hi Valarie, yes...
it is the same topic, and I no found more clues abt Anna Antonia Guarini and/or Michele Arcangelo Muliere...
I searched also in Trivigno deaths, from 1891 to 1938 and no Michele/Anna deaths aare in... so Michele emigrated and died in USA as a well Anna...

Hi suanj and vj!!!
Wonderful finds!
Possible manifest for Michele Muliere...
Age 26, arriving NY, March 10, 1886 on SS Gottardo
Occupation contadino from Trivigno
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/808/ ... st1886.jpg
The 1886 arrival would explain his absence at Anna Rosa's birth

Re: Guarini
Hello,
I am so grateful for everyone's help and helping me find more info about Michele.... is their any way we can find out if this Anna Guarini ever got remarried or when she died in America.
I know when my Great Grandmother came here they came to NYC but I know some of her family went to Poughkeepsie NY. My great grandmother is still such a mystery to me and I just want to find out more information. Any information on where Anna Guarini or Michele Muliere or their daughter Carmela lived when arriving in NYC. I cannot find them in the census. I only find Carmela in the 1910 census living in NJ with her husband and children.
Thank you,
Jess

Re: Guarini
Also is there any way to send the images from the ship's manifest again ... it does not seem to open and I am not sure if I ever saved them!
Re: Guarini
I am pretty sure that is no the right Michele Muliere because on the marriage act the father was Francesco Muliere and the mother was Angela Costanzo.Tessa78 wrote:May be a "long shot" but this could possibly be death record for Michele?
