LOOKING FOR LUIGI BARLETTA
LOOKING FOR LUIGI BARLETTA
My great grandfather Luigi Barletta was born in 1886 and lived in Rofrano, Salerno in Italy. He arrived in New York on the 29th March 1913 at the age of 27 years, leaving behind his wife Antonia Grosso and three children. Once settled he was supposed to bring them over but within a few months of his arrival his family never heard from him again. According to the NY Passenger List, he met up with his cousin Raffaile Cafasso who lived in Skillman Avenue Brooklyn. The New York Passenger List is the only information I could find. Any other information will be greatly appreciated.
Re: LOOKING FOR LUIGI BARLETTA
Okay I've hit a huge stumbling block and going nowhere fast. What I would like to find out about my great grandfather is if he was a bigamist. Since he left his family behind in Italy, he may have married again and may have had children in the US. My family may have relatives in the US that we don't know about. Also if he did have a second family, they might not be aware of his first family in Italy. Its a big mystery, hope someone can help or guide me in the right direction. Thank you.
