Marriage Record Translation Help

Post by autumn4680 »

Hi Everyone,

Hoping you can help me translate this marriage record. I'm looking at the record on the right for Nasca.... Can you tell if any witnesses singed this? I'm picking up on several family names in this record. Your help is much appreciated!

Hello Michelle :-)

First, let me say that no witnesses signed this record. It was only signed by the official ...

Act of Marriage - #4
Dated 28 January 1886 at 10:40 AM at the town hall

Augustale Pasquariello, 23, peasant farmer, born and residing in Marsico, son of Gianuario and of Carmela Grosso
AND
Filomena Nasca, 22, peasant farmer, daughter of deceased Antonio and of Francesca Cianiarulo (sp?), all of Marsico.

Witnesses:
Gianuario Cianiarulo (sp?), 30, peasant farmer, son of deceased Angelo
Francesco Saverio Vignola, 40, peasant farmer, so of deceased Emidio.

Thank you Tessa and Livo, you are both so helpful! My Italian is getting better, and so I understand some words on these things, but the handwriting is tough. I've been trying to learn some Italian and am going to Italy in a few days... so exciting!

Thanks again!
Michelle
