Vuncenzo D'Aprile

Hi Everyone! I'm back - took a little time off of researching because I had a visit from my cousins from Vigevano, Italy. First time they were in the U.S. - we had a great time together!



I found the above marriage record for a Vincenzo D'Aprile. Can someone please translate as much as possible for me. I am positive that this is my great-grandmother's family (maybe her brother). I still don't understand why there are some records that are Aprile and others are D'Aprile! Also, I am researching my husband's family from Polizzi Generosa and I found a Filippo D'Aprile. Could it be possible that this is my great-great-grandfather? Back in the their day, would they have traveled from Polizzi Generosa to Patti, Sicily? I cannot find any birth information on a Filippo D'Aprile born in Patti.

This is the request for banns, that were actually posted on Oct 19 and from Oct 26 to Oct 30 1824. The actual marriage was celebrated after this date. The mother of Vincenzo is Giuseppa Mondello. Luigi Princiotta was deceased...

I do not believe these records are online yet

However, you can view the civil registrations (births, marriages, deaths) for Molfetta at a Family History Center. The microfilms cover 1809-1910 and can be rented and viewed at your nearest center.
