Maestro Servitore?
Maestro Servitore?
My 4-great grandfather from Palermo has an mro in from of his name, which indicates Maestro. I thought this meant he was educated, or a master craftsman, or something similar. His occupation is listed as 'Servitore' or servant however, so I am confused. Does this mean he was an important servant, or managed other servants, or was just really good at his job?

Would you post the image for us to view?

Here is one that has 'Servitore' on it. I will try to find one with mro.

This is definitely "Servitore" - servant

Very interested in seeing the other record...
