Guglielmo Russo (1867/1868) - Where From?

I am searching for the birthplace or last place of residence in Italy for Guglielmo Russo (born 1867/1868). Arrived in USA (Castle Garden, NY) on 11/20/1889 at age 22 on the ship Entella departing from the city of Palermo.
He married Teodora Monacelli in 1901 in Chicago, IL USA.

Any information or leads are greatly appreciated.

Considering that at the time of her 1901 arrival in U.S. Teodora Monacelli stated that she was going to meet her intended (husband) Guglielmo Rossi in Chicago, I think that they were coming form the same place, the little town of Alfadena - L'Aquila Province , Abruzzo region

Me too, I believe that the surname spelling was Rossi or Russi...and not Russo... because in 1910 the surname is spelled Russe:

I appreciate the feedback ladies, but I did call and write to Alfedena about 1-year ago. I do have Teodora Monacelli's birth certificate (05/10/1883) from Alfedena, but they could not locate a Guglielmo Russo.

Guglielmo's last name was spelled RUSSO as it is correct per the Ship Manifest (link pasted below) as he departed the port of Palermo on the ship Entella and arrived in USA (Castle Garden, NY) on 11/20/1889. Last name is also spelled RUSSO on every one of their childs birth certificates.

He was 16-years older than Teodora. Most of Guglielmo's siblings were priests/nuns in Italy.

Maybe he was from a close town? Maybe from Napoli and met Teodora in Alfedena??

I agree Laura; Rossi spelling could be right...
I found some Rossi in Chicago and coming from some town no much far from Alfedena: Ateleta and Pizzone..

Ateleta could be more probable as birthplace ...
but it is hard to say with certainty..
maybe Alfedena clerk no found the Guglielmo birth record because the surname was spelled Russo instead of Rossi...
