Atti di Nascita Translation Request

Post by EMTLP »

Hello Attached are two files that have been compressed. I don't know how legible they will be to read. I can see the name Maria Guiseppi Margiotta, ? Samela, and Maria Ippolita? It is a birth record of Bart Margiotta b. 2 Sept 1843. Any details you can translate would be appreciated. Thanks so much. Eileen

Hi,
What do you suggest. I reduced size because file was too big. Is there another format to use. I have the copy from the microfiche on a flash drive. I tried to compress it but the website still said it was too big. Maybe another format would work? Eileen

Thank You! Does it seem odd to have a son with a middle name of Maria?
Can anyone read the parents occupations or the parent of Maria Ippolita Samela?

Thank you again. I filled in a blank that has had me frustrated. I still have to find their marriage when I have more time.

Hi Marty,
My mistake, sorry. I didn't know that the mother's parent was not listed.
Thanks Again. You are a blessing to those of us who don't know Italian. Your help is truly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Eileen

Maria is not an unusual name to be given to a male. :-)
