Hello and welcome to the forum, Austin-
The record is dated Aug 6, 1885 at 10:05 in the town hall-
appearing was Giuseppe Dulcetta, age 40, a peasant/farmer living in Joppolo. He reported that, at 4:06 a.m., on the 4th of the current month, in the house on via Canale, his wife, Francesca Dagostino, age 40, who was living with him, gave birth to a male infant. He was presenting this infant to whom was being given the name, Giuseppe.
Witnesses to the declaration of the birth, and presentation of the infant, were Francesco Licata, age 60, a worker, and Agostino Scifo, age 40, also a worker. Only the town official signed the document below as the others did not know how to.
