Hello, thanks for the replies so far. I have attached a larger jpg file. Hopefully this one is better. Someone told me this was a ticket also, but I cannot find a crossing for either name on the document. The passenger is suppose to be Francisco Dolce I researched the Patria and found it was scrapped in 1905. The dates on this ticket are both 1906. I tried Ancestry.com and no luck. Any further help understanding this document and find the voyage for Francisco will be appreciated. Thanks,

The ticket says it is a third class ticket for Francesco Dolce from NY to Camden NY (which is in upstate NY)-good for one adult passenger older than age 12.

Fabre Line's ship La Patria was only built in 1913 and made trips from the Mediterranean between there and NY from 1913 to the early 1930s. So the date on the ticket (dated in Naples, Italy Nov 13, 1906) does not appear to have anything to do with his actual arrival date in the U.S. Is there any other info you can provide us with concerning this person to help us locate him on a passenger list?

Edit: after further investigation, I believe that La Patria, as written on this ticket, was the name of the Italian Maritime Transport Company, and not to the name of the steamship on which he sailed. The Fabre ship which sailed and arrived in NY on Nov 28, 1906 was the Madonna and there is a Francesco Dolce on that ship, but his destination was to Philadelphia. Originally the manifest read NY, but then was changed to Phil. Pa. I am thinking that perhaps the ticket was meant to read Camden, NJ and not Camden, NY, as that city is across the water from Phillie. That Francesco though was traveling with his sister Serafina Dolce and her two children going to her husband with the D'Alaimo surname in Phillie. He was from Accettura and had been born abt 1884, so perhaps she had been issued her own ticket which included her two children to use from the port of NY to Camden.

now that the image is more large, it is no a ticket for payed trip, but it is a receipt abt payed ticket ( maybe by a travel agency), that was to be presented and pick-up the ticket for the travel New York-Camden; as Erudita said also La Patria was the name of Italian Maritime Transport Company served by Fabre steamships...

Hello, thank you so much for the info. I was able to find Francisco the boat and on the 1920 Federal census of America. I am still trying to find his sister on any census in America. Do you know what Serafina might translate to in America? I could not find her or her children under her married name. I could not find any Nicola's either. I will keep looking.

Great find, Angela. The street in the Accettura birth record is Rione Torre. I know it looks like a B at the beginning, but the street still exists.

I also came across this Passenger Record and am wondering whether it might actually be Francesco (Nicola) D’Alaimo’s. It has possibly been data-entered incorrectly – understandably as the name isn’t really very clear. This Francesco is from Accettura on his way to Phili to visit ? Rocco ? (well that is what I understand). His age does differ slightly?
