Re: Help with marriage record translation
Thanks Tessa!
Weird, as the title to the records I was looking at were Matrimoni 1925-1929. So, I was thinking a more recent relative. 1825?
And, does it state what his first wifes name was? Or is it just stated that he provided the extract.
Another weird comment--I was searching thru these matrimony records, and after like 200 pages into the records, it shows these again--they START OVER??? I spent alot of my day looking thru records that are being repeated now. Frustrating!
But, my rant is over. Thanks for the information! Greatly appreciated.

Re: Help with marriage record translation
The record is dated 1925!!!
I originally wrote that, then changed it - maybe because I had been translating some early 1800's records just before that... Sooo very sorry for the confusion.
No mention of first wife's name... and she died in 1925, not 1825!
Here is the Marriage Act #19 in 1925
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... ,349528602
FYI
There is a marriage act #20 for Martino Palmieri on the same page, father is deceased Domenico.
There is also a marriage act #21 on the next page for Antonio Palmieri whose father is Giuseppe.

Re: Help with marriage record translation
Tessa--
That is kinda funny! Thank you for checking back into that. I was sure the person who indexed these films was outta their mind, or I have been living in the twilight zone (I have 18 kids, so I live there alot!)
And, thank you for taking the time to translate all these records! YOU ALL are awesome. Like I said before, I could not have done this on my own, so I cannot express all my thanks!
I get so frustrated on the Sessa side, as they just dont seem as accessible as my other side of my family. Trying to have patience. I guess that is the key.
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tessa
I just realized that I am living in the twilight zone! I reread this post, and then, realized that the records dont repeat--the first ones were banns, then it was the actual marriage act, right?
I am such a doofus! Still learning! Thanks again for the translations!

It is a learning process just to realize the differences in the image sequencing.
