Rosa Siri [Siro] !!
But the age doesn't match. My Rosa Siri, wife of Andrea Bazzurro, would have been born at around 1832, so would have been 64 in 1896?
But everything else fits too well, and we have another Caterina here!

Yes, I noticed the age discrepancy.
Ages can be very fluid. My thoughts are that because she died in another place, it is possible that whoever provided the information to the official did not know her actual age.
In fact, they may have also spelled her surname incorrectly (Siro instead of Siri)
As we find other records, it may help to pinpoint an approximate year of death for Rosa

That makes sense that someone from Genoa spelled her name somewhat wrong if both variations exist! The birth record of her daughter Caterina is a more trustworthy source!

So I was looking for Rosa Siri and her parents in Montoggio, Genova, but the death acts between 1866 and 1870 show a total lack of the names Siri/Siro and Granara (mother's maiden name).
Perhaps it was "an accident" that she was born there and I have to look at the place of residence again, Struppa!
Checking the present Italian Phone Book (landlines) - there is one listing of the surname GRANARA and no listings for Siro/Siri in the comune of Montoggio. Keep in mind that the town has a population of just over 2000.
Maybe you would like to write to this "potential relative" and inquire of the surname in the town and its origins?
