Giacomo Sgroi was born on 18 Jun 1871 in S. Giuseppe Jato to Gaspare Sgroi, 40, and his wife Calogera Caruso, 38.

Giuseppe Marino was born on 26 Aug 1871 in S. Giuseppe Jato to Giorgio Marino, 51 and his wife Caterina Riela, 40.

I guess the name really is Riela in S. Giuseppe.

Just adding that Gaspare's profession here is listed as "campagnolo" - "peasant". It also means "countryman" but I understand that in these records it would be another name for contadino - peasant farmer. In a previous record he was listed as "contadino".

I guess the name really is Riela in S. Giuseppe. Yes, I believe so.
