18th century church record Agrigento province

Post by Saladin »

Would greatly appreciate translation assistance with this 1747 church matrimony record. Most especially the complete names of parties (priest-groom- bride-parents-witnesses). Thanks in advance.

Marcello, you are brilliant!!! You make it look so easy, as usual. Not sure you remember but you researched in Marsala for me. I will come back to you again to finish that up but I found these records from Agrigento in the interim, they are just bad quality. Thanks again.

Marcello
Could Vita's surname be D'Ignoti which is a surname in Agrigento?

I was thinking think it might be Giganti but I will keep D'Ignoti in mind as I search through the records.

I have a few more from this time period and having trouble figuring out the parents names. I will be back with them if I break down with frustration :)

By the way I missed Marty's question above, this record is from Montevago.

Thanks for all the input.

Now that I know the town name, I think Giganti is a realistic possibility.
