Catasto Onciario
Hello. I'm aware that FamilySearch is currently working on making the Catasto Onciario viewable online in the future, but does anyone know if some of it is already viewable online? I am looking for the following cities, specifically (I believe all of these cities were part of the Kingdom of Naples at the time):
*Panni
*Orsara Dauno Irpina (Orsara di Puglia)
*Ariano (Ariano Irpino)
*Roccapiemonte
*Savignano di Puglia (Savignano Irpino)
*Itri
*Monticelli (Monte San Biagio)
*Arce
*Colle San Magno
*Pontecorvo
*Prata Sannita
*Piedimonte d'Alife (Piedimonte Matese)
*San Potito Sannitico
*Conca della Campania
*Marzano (Marzano Appio)
Also, is there a resource comparable to the Catasto Onciario, but for the Papal States and Sicily?

Amansolillo,
I have been searching for Itri, Pontecorvo and Arce also.
There is not much on line.
I find records from Monticelli, Esperia and some from Monte San Biagio. But because
we can't see the actual document, some are listed as Monticelli, Terni, Umbria, when in fact, they are Monticelli, Esperia, Frosinone or Monticelli (Monte San Biagio), Latina, Lazio.
I'm also researching for Grossi, Bevilacqua, Sinapi and Fragola.

Re: Catasto Onciario
Esperia was formerly known as Roccaguglielmo. Try that for the LDS microfilms.
If you have seen the Sophia Loren movie 'Two Women' you will see what happened in Esperia after WW2. All civil records were lost after 1866 however the town do have some index cards that can help identify ancestors born in this period. All parish records were also lost which complicates the situtation.

Re: Catasto Onciario
Thank you for the help! The one I am most interested in looking for is the Catasto Onciario from Panni. Does anyone know how I might be able to find it?

Re: Catasto Onciario
I was able to acquire a transcript of the Catasto Onciario of Itri. I'm currently trying to piece together what fits with my family. I came across a strangely worded section for a household that may have been an ancestor of mine:
I can't really tell who exactly Apollonia is related to in that context. I'm under the impression that it is saying that she is the widow of Antonio and she is the mother of Gioanna Caracuzzo. If she is Gioanna Caracuzzo's mother, then whose stepmother is she? Unless I'm misunderstanding this entirely, could the census-taker have meant to record "mother-in-law" (of Biagio Mancino) instead of "stepmother"?Il bovaro Biagio Mancino di 31 anni abita in casa propria a Centanova con magazzeno e vari territori. Re: Catasto Onciario
I understand so:
that Gioanna Caracuzzo and Domenico Caracuzzo was siblings; the family members:
-Biagio Mancino + Gioanna Caracuzzo and their children: Francesco, Stefano, Maria Saveria
-Domenico Caracuzzo (Brother in law of Biagio Mancini and Brother of Gioanna Caracuzzo) and his daughter Lucia
-Apollonia Tatta was the 1th wife of ... (?) Caracuzzo and mother of Gioanna and Domenico Caracuzzo; when widow married the second time to Antonio Mancini father of Biagio Mancini, that he was also widow of the his first wife ( mother of Biagio Mancini)
So when Antonio Mancini( widow with 1 son, Biagio) married to Apollonia Tatta widow Caracuzzo( with 2 children Gioanna and Domenico Caracuzzo) they lived in same house, and Biagio Mancini married to Gioanna Caracuzzo ( that was possible because they was no siblings really, no same blood);
Antonio Mancini died, Apollonia became widow for the second time, and all members lived in same house, because for Biagio, Apollonia Tatta (widow Caracuzzo and widow Mancini) well she was the his stepmother and the his mother in law....

Hello. while we wait for Antenati or FS to make the Catasto Onciario fully available online, I wonder whether there are already resources available for these towns/villages/quarters from the Kingdom of Naples. Many thanks for reading!
