Pasquale Pacitti Birth Records

Hope someone can help with any information on obtaining an official transcript of the birth certificate for Pasquale Pacitti from Cassino. The town was destroyed during WWII and we have written to the town with no success. It has been over 6 months with no response. Hoping someone might have an idea of where those records might be. Cassino has been rebuilt and not sure where to turn next. Posting this for a friend who is trying to obtain dual citizenship.

Marty and Tessa78, Pasquale Pacitti was born on 30 March 1900 in Cassino according to his grandson.

Pasquale Pacitti arrived in the US on 20 Jun 1920 on the ship "Dante Alighieri" out of Naples. Father's name Vincenzo and mother's name Angela DiNallo. The Birth record is what is the hardest to obtain.

Yes, I have located his naturalization records ...

I have checked the reconstructed birth records from Cassino, years 1899, 1900, and 1902 (1901 missing), but do not find him.
If there he did not return to provide his birth information in 1948 when they tried to reconstruct what was lost in the war, then he probably does not have a reconstructed birth record.

Pasquale Pacitti never returned to Italy after he emigrated to the US in 1920 so therefore he would not have a reconstructed birth record. Guess we are at a loss as to where to turn next. How could we prove to the Italian Consulate in Boston as to his birth in Cassino and allow his grandson to continue on his quest for dual citizenship? He seems to have all or can obtain all the other necessary documents.

You might try writing to request a baptism record.
I do not know if the commune would recreate a birth act based on the baptism, or even whether the consulate would accept the baptism record.
