Catarina Barone Atto di Battesimo

Post by sacesta »

Here's another I could use a translation for. I've been able to identify the date of the event (29 Jan 1773) and the parents of the baptized (Antonio Barone and Maria Sciortino). But I could use help deciphering the rest. In particular, I'd like to know if Catarina was born on the same day she was baptized (I can't tell if that says "hodie" before "nata ex"). And I'd like to know who the godparents are and what the text below Catarina's name says in general.

Thanks again for your continued help. I couldn't do this without you.

Caterina Maria was born yesterday " heri nata"

Godparents were Vincenzo Costa, son of deceased Antonio Costa and Maria Leo (living), who were one time spouses of this town and parish, and Diega Maranzano, wife of Giuseppe Costa and daughter of deceased Leonardo Maranzano and deceased Filippa Bianco, spouses of this town and Mother Church (parish).
