Dated 17 February 1857 at 5 PM at the town office in Catanzaro, before the official.
Appearing was Angela Boccuto, daughter of deceased Antonio, age 68, midwife residing in Catanzaro, to present a female child who she declared was born to married couple Antonia Rotundo, 25, residing in Catanzaro; and Giuseppe Ruga, age 28, a laborer, residing with his wife; on 16 of the abovesaid month at 2 in the night at their home.
She also declared that to this child was given the name BARBARA RUGA
Present at this declaration and the presentation were Giovanni Criniti, 70, estate manager; and Francesco Squillace, 40, estate manager - both residing in Caranzaro.
Only the official signed as the others did not know how to write.

Baptism on same day at the Parish of All Saints.
