First Italian record ever found and need help

Post by dolecki123 »

Hello,

This is my first Italian record that I ever found and I am confuse as to the translation of the document. I know that it is a birth record and I came across it in my research. I would love if someone could provide me with more information and even a translation of the attach record. The information that I know so far is that my great grandfather was Vincenzo Barbara born in August 1894 to Charles and Rosalie (Fede) in Naro, Italy. Thank you so much and I look forward to contributing with this forum in the near future.

Brandon

Vincent was born on 1 August 1884, and presented to the official on 4 August.
As was the custom, Vincenzo was presented by his father, Calogero (Americanized to Charles later) Barbara, age 33, a shoemaker, who declared that the child was born at the house at vicolo Sfargaro(?), no number, at 5:10 AM, to his wife, Rosalia Fede, housewife.

Calogero signed the record with the official :D
