Dual Citizenship Marriage Certificate

Post by pzagnoni3703 »

I am working on dual citizenship and my father (Caesar Zagnoni) used his Confirmation name (Steven) on all of his documents. I have had them all changed but have found out that I can not change his marriage license to my mother. Has any one else had this issue and if so how did you work around it. Thank you!

Is your father still living? If so, a notarized statement from him may be helpful.

If he is no longer living, ask a close relative (aunt, uncle, wife) to write a statement to the effect that Caesar was aka Steven (his confirmation name). This may be accepted but no guarantees. At the very least, the amendments made to the other documents will support the connection.

Thank you! Both my father and mother have passed as well as all other living relatives. My sister and myself could write a statement...have if notarized etc. if you think that might help.

Better than nothing. And if you have any documents showing both names, that will be very helpful.
