Translate pages 2 and 3 of Marriage record

Post by rp76226 »

Please translate the key genealogical facts on these two pages of the 1838 marriage record of Vincenzo Tricarico and Rosa Spezzacatena. I think it has the death date of her father, and possibly other facts.

We ALL have those moments!

Page 2 indicates that at the ceremony assisted the father of the groom, and the mother of the bride, they participated in the present act and they gave their formal consent.
(Bottom of page)
Notification of the promise of marriage was posted on the door of the town office on 6 May of the current month at 9 PM.

Page 3
Documents presented to the official:
1 ~ the birth act of the groom
2 ~ the birth act of the bride
3 ~ the act of death of the mother of the groom, in Altamura on 7 September 1836
4 ~ the death act of the father of the bride, in Miglionico on 7 August 1815
5 ~ the act of death of the Paternal grandfather of the bride, in Altamura on 29 June 1799
6 ~ the extract of the notification of the above... showing no opposition to the marriage.

FYI - Miglionico is in Province of Matera in Basilicata :-)

And here is the birth of Rosa - in March 1815 - looks like her father died when she was about 5 months of age.
#97 on the right side.

What is the name of the paternal grandfather of the bride who died 29 June 1799? Does it show his wife's name too?

No name given, it only says "the act of death of the Paternal grandfather of the bride, in Altamura on 29 June 1799"
