Help me for my parents/aiuto per parente emigrato

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Help me for my parents/aiuto per parente emigrato

Post by anto1997 »

Searching on the web I found a person with my same surname and my same city emigrated to the USA, namely to Ellis Island in 1901. Her name is Ferdinando Cadorna
I presume it is my relative since my grandfather's father is called Ferdinand himself and in my opinion he is the grandfather of my grandfather as well as Ferdinand's grandfather

I found two clues:

Ferdinando Cadorna arrived on June 18, 1901 at 31 years of Neapeal and resident in Nicastro
Ferdinand Cadorno arrived on May 25, 1904 with the Sicily ship in NY at age 34

I think it is the same person who returned to Italy after the first trip with the second transcribed name, who can help me find more information about him or the family who later formed in the USA?
He should have a son, presumed to be 100% born in Italy, Francesco Ferdinando (grandfather of my grandfather, he remembers the most)

Thanks to who can help me...sorry for my english

His destination is to his brother-in-law Nicola Perri on Park St., New York.
Can you confirm that this is your ancestor?

Ricostruendo l'albero genealogico dovrebbe essere così

Ferdinando Cadorna 1870, Nicastro (1901 in usa, ritorno e poi 1903 di nuovo usa, penso definitivamente)

Felice Antonio Cadorna, Nicastro(presumibilmente fra il 1887 e il 1895)

Ferdinando Cadorna, Nicastro 1913-1914

Antonio Cadorna, Nicastro 1934

Francesco Cadorna, Nicastro 1967

Antonio Cadorna, Lamezia Terme, 1997
