There are several courses of action you could take.

Their death certificates may have their parent's names listed. You can request genealogy copies from Monroe County:

http://www2.monroecounty.gov/health-VitalRecords.php

$22 per record request. I would include copies of their obituaries with your request and payment, if you choose to request them.

If we can determine where in Italy they were born, the birth record in Italy would (of course) have their parent's names.

Were they married in Italy or in the United States? A record or marriage certificate would also have their parent's names.

Did some searching on MyHeritage (I have a paid account).

Found a FamilySearch tree with a Salvatore Sorrnti who married Maria Russo on 11/25/1911, in Rochester.

Went directly to FamilySearch and searched for Sorrnti and pulled up the document. They're on the bottom of the right-hand page of the book scan. It includes their parent's names.
