Hello Nathan - Welcome to the forum! :-)

I am sorry that you did not receive a quicker response. It is most likely because the transation of this record is time consuming due to the handwriting and the length. I will try to provide you with a synopsis rather than a line by line translation.

First let me say that there is a notation in the right column indicating that Achille Bongiorno married Diega Bucalo on 2 July 1897

Birth act #298
Record dated 23 February 1871 in Messina
The official was entering into the record a notification from the Municipal Hospital, keepers of the abandoned children, on 23 February 1871.
On the night of 22 into 23 February, at the wheel of the abandoned was found a male child, of good form and color with a shirt of muslin, a waistcoat of cloth, .... a hat, and cloth diapers. The official gave him the name Achille Bongiorno.

I will see if I can find the marriage act with Diega Bucalo(?) to see if it provides any additional information...
