It is 100% doom and gloom. Today I tried and every single appointment filled. Speed-Ninjas at typing entered every confirmation code faster and once again, got every single appointment.
I took a screenshot this time to prove what keeps happening when I go. I'll also bring some cash so if they try and turn me away, I can try to bribe them to disregard me having to apply at the Boston Consulate.
I will NEVER be able to get an appointment at the Boston Consulate so I am going to try New York.
I basically have every single document already in hand so no real wait for any document.
Establishing Residency and Applying in Italy
Re: Establishing Residency and Applying in Italy
New York has been getting really much better of late but, seriously, they are not so accommodating that they will take applications from people outside their jurisdiction. All consulates follow that rule.
If you really want to apply in NY, see what you can do about your residency. Another upside is you can dump the Red Sox and become a Yankee fan.

Re: Establishing Residency and Applying in Italy
Can you establish residency in NY? Rent an apartment within the district, change your drivers license and mailing address (Get a UPS box, it comes with a real street address) and then apply at the NY consulate. That has to be a LOT easier and less expensive than going to Italy.
Re: Establishing Residency and Applying in Italy
Sure you can do that but I think you would need to also present a utility bill for that address.
