Dorothea Spinella

Post by cj11788 »

Helllo

The attached 1651 riveli for Dorothea Spinella, where she is from Marineo. I believe she is the widow of Epifanio Spinella but I don't see that in the document. Do you?

In addition, are those her parents listed, Andrea and Catherina? If so is that their last name presenta (I don't think so)

Thanks,

Chris

Epifanio Spinella is not mentioned.
Parents are mentioned, but "presenta" is a verb meaning something like "shows to have".
Unfortunately, I can't read what's immediately following.
You should check other similar records to see if they have the word "presenta" in the same position.

Her parents were Andrea and Caterina, and they were both deceased. Her mother's surname was not indicated because in that time period women didn't really have surnames. Her father's surname was La Spinella.
