Hi Donna

It says that he died "in the house of the Piarists" which is an old Catholic Order of priests. It looks like the occupation reads "Escolapeo" which may be mispelt but probably comes from the word "Escolapios" so, from the top of my head, I'm suggesting that he was a Cleric/Religious/Priest in that Order?

Very happy to help.

Just want to correct the spelling, it should read "Escolapio" and I notice that the word also reads "Scolopio" in places, coming from the word "Scolopi" as can be seen in this record.
