Antonino Arnone

Post by cj11788 »

Hello,

Attached is a 1748 riveli for Antonino Arnone from Marineo Sicily. At the end it mentions Santa Anna. Is that a town or an area in Marineo?

Thanks,

Chris

Chris
I believe the abbreviation before "di Anna" is for the word "quartiero." Santa Anna is the church there, so I believe it means in the district or neighborhood of Santa Anna, or in the area surrounding the church.

Hi Chris
The riveli are very difficult records. and I lack experience in deciphering them, but I believe I'm correct about this one.
