just a question, can someone tell me where the name of the deceased is on this form? I don't know anyone from this page, but I will be looking through the whole year and it would be easier and faster if i didn't have to read whole document

Re: 1812 form
About the middle of the record, where there is a large space, look for the handwritten words è morta/o (The feminine and masculine forms of died).
The name of the deceased will follow.
The name of the deceased in the record on the right is Vito Cappola.
T.

Thank you , found the one I was looking for. http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0
Now maybe you can tell me how old Maria Catuosco is? I wish it had more than just her husband. like her parents would have been nice.

Oh by the way I looked through every document in 1811 only to realize it was indexed. duh, and with this one I couldn't read what month I needed but knew it was after August. So It only to a 20 or so to find her.

Maria Catuosco, died on 28 September 1912. She was aged 33, a contadina, living in the town, wife of Saverio Lavecchia.EllenCatusco wrote: 20 Jul 2018, 01:28 Thank you , found the one I was looking for. http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0

Unfortunately, often the parents names arn't included in these earlier records. What you could do is look for marriage records of their children/grandchildren and see if there is any allegati with them that have their grandparents included. Often there will be a death record of the father and paternal grandfather which should have the respective wives included.

Good catch, T. Thank you. Usually it's the other way round for me - instead of the 1900's I write the 1800's, out of habit from working with records from the 1800's, like for example my birthday on forms.

Can you tell me what this document is? It says Augustale Catuosco, I know he was born in April of 1818. Is this about that?

Sometimes Allegati, which are basically marriage attachments, are referred to as Processetti. You'll find some of yours here:EllenCatusco wrote: 20 Jul 2018, 03:28 Does every town have these Allagati?. I gone through marriage, death birth, have never seen these in Marsico Nuovo,
http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ocessetti/
The marriage attachments were the records that were required before a marriage could proceed e.g. Birth Records of Bride and Groom, Death Records of the Father/Grandfather where applicable, deceased wife/husband's death record where applicable.
What you are looking at here is a Death Record, which you have found amongst the "Diversi". The Diversi usually contain records like Still Births, Deaths that occurred away from the town, or overseas, etc. I'll pull out some information for you.EllenCatusco wrote: 20 Jul 2018, 03:38 http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0

Re: Processetti and Allegati, take a look through here when you have time. They are a gold mine for the genealogist: https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/ ... ti#p208703

Re: 1812 form
Here's another interesting forum, which sets out the types of records that you might find amongst the "Diversi" and then in later years amongst the "Part II, Part III..." supplementary books, found at the end of each year. Take a read when you have time.

Re: 1812 form
Ive never looked through the Diversi until tonight. I will read anything. If I can find more records I will read how to do it and what I will find in it. Thank you so much for all your insights.

Re: 1812 form
The document for Augustale Catuosco, its a death for out of town, I see he died in Gaeta, a military hospital. I do not see his age though. Picking out names on a form or some handwritten numbers I can do..But reading a document like this is hard..Suanj gave me info on this some years back. She said something about a discription of him. Is there one there. ?
