found estratto di morte

Post by EllenCatusco »

I found this document and I believe it to be the death of Michele Sangiorgo's first wife so he can remarry . I think it goes on for pages. Can someone let me know if it gives any info on Michele. ? Im having trouble finding a father for him.

It appears to be just a single page document. It states the following:

November 28, 1851 appeared Angelo Grottola, age 39, farmer, born in Marsico and Michele Lapolla, age 26, farmer, born in Marsico, who declared that on November 27, 1851, Nunziata Gargano died, age 35, farmer, resident of Marsico, daughter of Gianvario Gargano, deceased, and Rosaria Grosso, resident of Marsico. She was wife of Michele Sangiorgio.

On this image is the Solemn Promise of Marriage between Michele Arcangelo Augustale Sangiorgio and Angiola Catarina Rosaria Curcio. It gives the names of Michele's parents as deceased Gianovario [Sangiorgio] and Nunziata Fortunato.
