Cione/Robertiello marriage Laviano

Post by jebaad »

Can someone help me out with this record please.

I think the grooms name is Vincenzo Felice Robertiello born in 1793
Father Paolo Antonio Robertiello I think he is alive
Mother Anna Maria Can't read her last name

Bride is Lucia Cecelia Cione she is 24 and born in Bagnuli.
I think on the 2nd page of the record it says she is born in 1798. Is that correct?
Where is Bagnuli and where are the records for Bagnuli?

What is the date of the marriage Jan 1823 or Dec 1822

Thanks to all the wonderful people for help in figuring out what these records say

I believe the groom's surname is Robetto - look at his signature on the last page of the record.

I think that is just a shorten version of Robertiello. I've study Laviano as my family is from there and there are tons of Robertiellos but no Robberto.
I found where Bagnoli(oggi Bagnoli Irpino) is in Avellino.
And I found my 3x great grandparents marriage record there

You can see Nicola Robertiello married Gaetana Cione 15 Apr 1825.
Nicola was the brother of Vincenzo and Gaetana was the sister to Lucia. You can see Vincenzo Felice Robertiello as a witness or something on this record.
What I am trying to figure out is on this 1825 record Nicola parents Paolo Antonio Robertiello and Anna Maria Ciriello are deceased but do not appear to be be deceased on the 1823 marriage record for Vincenzo and Lucia. And the parents of Gaetana Cione her father Lorenzo was alive in 1823 and dead in 1825. Mother is alive in 1825.
So my questions is are the four parents alive in the marriage record in 1823 and what is the date of the marriage Jan 1823 or Dec 1822?
Thanks

The antenati site has been erratic lately.

I will answer the questions you have posed as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, from the Vincenzo/Lucia marriage...
Some information contained in the list of documents provided to the official at this marriage...

The extracts of the birth acts of the spouses...
The extract of the death act of the first husband of Lucia Cecilia Cione, Francesco Robbo[Robertiello], 28 June 1820, received from Bagnoli.

The death act of (here is where the site disconnected)

continuing the above...

The extract of death of Paolantonio Robbo[Robertiello?], the father of Vincenzo Felice, dated 28 November 1822, which indicates that he "passed to another life" on 11 April 1816.

AND... an extract of death received 28 December last year (1822), indicating that Anna Maria Ciriello(?), the wife of the above deceased Paolantonio, died on 4 August 1800.

Both parents were deceased at the time of Vincenzo's marriage on 16 January 1823.

Church celebration of marriage was on 7 February 1823.

Vincenzo was the "procuratore" of his brother Nicola, who was only age 19 at the time of the marriage. He appeared at the marriage because Nicola's parents were deceased.
You will note that the mother of Nicola was deceased Maria Giuseppa Gaudiosi, not Anna Maria Ciriello who died in 1800 before the birth of Nicola about 1806.

EDIT TO ADD:

Here is the death act of Paolantonio Robertiello in 1816.
He was age 56, the son of deceased Francesco and Catarina.

Tessa
Is there any information in either record on Lorenzo Cione & Antonia Forgione?
Are they alive or have they died?

In the marriage act of Nicola and Gaetana - Lorenzo Cione is deceased and Antonia Forgione resides in Bagnolo.

Donna and Don are honorific titles. I suspect they had the titles because they were landowners.

BTW - I searched for the death of Lorenzo Cione, but there are several years missing in the records.
I think he may have died in 1823, and that year is missing.

Thanks
I looked in 1824 and 1825 also for Lorenzo. I figured since he was alive January 1823 and dead by April 1825 he must be in that missing year.
