Mystery - does anyone have any suggestions?

Post by MichaelSerchio »

Hi,
I'm trying to identify the parents of the child baptised in 1827 with surname Rocchiccioli.
I've found a baptism in 1800 that looks possible based on some of the names shown, with surname Gonnella, but I'm not really sure what this means and why the different surnames? Can anyone translate and does anyone have any thoughts on this mystery?
Thanks
Michael

In the 1827 record, it reads "figlio spurio" which I am understanding to read that he was their illigitimate son.

Hopefully someone else might confirm as I'm on my way out.
