Ellen

Dated Sept 8, 1761 (baptism date). Don Alessandro Ferrara, parish priest of S Marco, of the city of Marsico baptized an infant named Rosa who was born on the 5th to Gianuario Votta Catuoso and Caterina Lapenta. Godfather was Agostino Antilio of S. Caterina.

I just found their marriage record. I don't know if you have it or not. Will post it shortly.

Thank you as always. How you read this stuff I I'll never understand. No I did not have wedding. Great find. I need to do research on this 2 name stuff. It's very frustrating. I don't understand why he has the Catuosco name and his father does not, why his child only has the Votta name. And another one uses it as an alias. ( I'm venting)
Thank you again.

I wish I knew the answer, Ellen. All I can say is that, if you keep finding related records, then maybe one of them will have the information to solve this mystery.
As always, I'm happy to help you.
