"One and the Same Person" Court Order Help

One of the last things I need to do before I can get my Italian Citizenship is acquire a "One and the Same Person" Court Order in relation to documents containing the name of my Great Great Grandfather as he was known by several different names in his life and there are discrepancies between various documents.

However I've been totally unable to find any lawyer where I live (Connecticut) that can help/advise me or that even knows what I'm talking about when I bring up the court order. Any help that can point me in the right direction of what to do or a recommendation for a lawyer that would be able to help me would be much appreciated.

Hi Nick,
I am not familiar with the OATSP court order. I have a similar problem, my GF used an americanized name all his life and all but birth certif. are in that name. Is it a fact that the Italian Consualte will accept this Court Order as opposed to requiring that the documents be changed to all show the same name?

Thanks, suanj - I have a similar problem, my GF has his Italian first name on his birth certificate and all other docs have his americanized name. Is it a given that the Italian Consulate in Boston will accept the OATSP affadavit? That seems to easy...

Hi suanj, I just looked at the 2 links you provided. Those are affadavits for when YOU have different names. I need one to certify that my (deceased) GF had different names. Do you have or know of any examples?

Ok, yes, I no read all, but the ONE AND SAME it is a similar form..

however I have a ONE AND THE SAME to apply for italian citizenship, and this affidavit was made by a notary… and it is so, similar, then everyone adjust it, I changed all data..:
