Hi-
I have the marriage documents for my great grandparents. I'm mostly looking for my great-grandmother's parent's names (and any others). But if there's any other juicy info I'd love to know that too. I mean I don't necessarily need to know the weather the day they married. But if there's the name of a church or stuff that's useful.
I'm just curious, trying to go back as far as possible family tree wise and haven't gone down the rabbit hole on this side as much.
mostly looking for names
Re: mostly looking for names
This is an extract of a birth act for a female child born to Bevenuto Galetto, 23yo farmer; and Leopolda Rampone, his wife, on 4 November 1904, in Penango.
The child was given the name Cristina.
Witnesses to the record: Luigi Galetto, 31, farmer; and Giuseppe Quinino, 48, secretary.

Thanks!
interesting because its listed as an "Allegati di Matrimonio" unless they're legitimizing her birth in her marriage record? Cristinia is my great grandmother.

The allegati were the supporting documents that a couple presented for their marriage-extracted copies of their birth acts, extracted copies of death acts for deceased parents, extracted copies of death acts of former spouses, etc. The extracted birth act is dated Jan 13, 1923 and should be for her marriage.
Re: mostly looking for names
that makes perfect sense. basically presenting ID for her marriage license (to put it in modern terms). I think I have copies of their marriage records too. This is very helpful, I didn't know her mother's name. We really didn't know much about her family at all.erudita74 wrote: 18 Jul 2020, 22:05 The allegati were the supporting documents that a couple presented for their marriage-extracted copies of their birth acts, extracted copies of death acts for deceased parents, extracted copies of death acts of former spouses, etc. The extracted birth act is dated Jan 13, 1923 and should be for her marriage.
