I read that they were able to save the registers, yet they still have yet to publish them online. What gives?

To put the registers on line requires the consent of the Bishop.

Right, but I feel like it was misleading for them to ask for the donations with the seeming contingency that the registers to be published, without actually having the authorization to put them online.Italysearcher wrote: 22 Jan 2022, 14:38 To put the registers on line requires the consent of the Bishop.

Based on the Diocesan Archives, the last update they gave was in September, and they said they needed a couple hundred more euros, but I've spoken to Raimondo Lentini, father of the Diocesan Archive's director who told me that it's been finished.
