A very intriguing document! I'll get you started with what I can and will then wait to learn, with you, from the experts.

Marriage Date is 25 March 1880/married in Ravello.

Groom's info is straightforward: Salvatore Mansi, unmarried before, age 24 (B~1856), laborer, born & resident of Ravello, son of living Bartolomeo and Serafina Mansi (both residents of Ravello).

Bride's info includes many twists! Fermina di Stapó, unmarried before (don't know what the word is after nubile? never seen it before), age 21 (B.~1859), weaver/seamstress, born in Salerno/resident of Ravello.....where her father 'should be' listed; figlia di is ALLIEVA Di ==what I get translated as "a pupil/student of" ===Alfonso Ruocco? resident of Ravello; her mother is the deceased Rashele Cioffi who lived in Ravello.

Witnesses were Federico Di Palma & Pasquale Palumbo, both 28 & both masons.

I didn't translate the entire bottom but note that; the dates of the 'publications' are listed & the records included in the full marriage document include their birth records and Fermina's ancestors....I have not seen access to either the publications or the full marriage document available at antenati or at FS......

Salvatore was able to sign this document.

Thanks Tessa---I wasn't sure about that usage here because the mother's name was given....?

After a re-look, I think Fermina's surname is more likely Di Stasio......

These are not the names of the parents.
Someone explained on this forum that 'allievo di' in these acts (and in this area) had the meaning of ' allevato da' = raised by, so this was the family which took care of her. (Never seen this expression on acts of Northern Italy).

Wow Thanks so much for your help!! Hmmm a foundling!! I have searched everywhere for any record with Fermina but to no avail… can’t find much on Salvatore either. Found a death record for a Salvatore Manzi he dies in London but his widowed, registered his death in Ravello, where he was born… the widows name was Maria buonaventura Manzi ( was Sammarco). So either found the wrong Salvatore or he remarried..

Ahh this has got me!! Spent so much time trying to find out about my Italian heritage!! Just keep hitting brick walls!!

Have you read carefully the death act you found in Ravello?
It must tell the place of death: it can be (usually) the same place (Ravello).

Or the act can be the transcription of a death act arrived from another place, in your case from London.
So it's not difficult to see if the two acts refer to the same or to different persons.
Can you post the Italian death act?

Parents=Bartolomeo Mansi, son of living Matteo, age 32?, carpenter & Serafina Mansi, his wife, age 30?.

The mayor was Francesco Mansi + 1 witness was Giuseppe Mansi

Bartolomeo Mansi was 22, born in Ravello, carpenter, son of Matteo & Mattea? Mansi (both living)
Serafina Mansi was 25, born in Ravello, daughter of Matteo & Anna Mansi (both living)

The birth act that Nick posted above also has a notation (at the top of the record) for Salvatore Mansi's marriage with Fermina Di Stasio.
