Help finding death records

Post by JonPre123 »

Greetings to those near and far..

Kindly seeking help .. from this community…

I’ve been searching for 2 important events for ..well ... a time too embarrassingly long to say. So, with a little help from you here goes

The death records of my great-great grandmother and great-great grandfather escape me.

Rosolina Varallo and Nicola Fedele Carino

Rosolina Varallo

Marriage

USA Visit. A visit to the US to visit my great-grandfather and infant grandfather. (I’m fairly certain that this was just a visit as my living relatives have no information on her)

Death?

Nicola Fedele Carino

death?

I have birth records of their children in the Avellino records. Their lives seemed centered around Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, Montella, Nusco, and Atripalda. (I have the death record of their child and my great-grand father in Richmond, Virginia.)

I need to pay my respect with a visit to their final resting places of my great-grand parents. Not really if, but when. Interestingly (to me), When I was a younger man, I explored this area of Italy and had no idea in my twenty something mind that my ancestors were nearby. Time is precious, what I’d give for an afternoon in Atripalda now.

3 questions

1. Am I missing something? I’ve searched the towns and years thoroughly on Antenati. Perhaps the misfortune of records lost?
2. Are there church or parish records available online.
3. Do cemetery records exist? Can I locate their gravestones?

My search continues.

Another aside, I’ve no easy access to a library. I’m currently living in Japan.

Regards and hopes for a lovely day on your side,

Jon

This should explain the cemetery issues.

Do you have the marriage records of their children in Avellino records?
The marriages should indicate if the parents are living or deceased. This will help to narrow down the years of possible death.

If you can find the Processetti/Allegati (attachments) for the marriages, AND either or both of the parents are deceased, the extract of the death acts will be included in the documents provided for marriage.

Thank you Ann! You and Angelresearch.net are two resources I didn't know about. Fantastic!

Thank you Tessa! Good advice! I have only found their birth records. Your advice has motivated me to dig deeper - and I'll research the Processetti/Allegati when I find them! Helpful!

Have a lovely day,
Jon
