Help finding Italian records

I am trying to find birth/marriage records for:

1. Luigi Pace, born in Italy (Liguria per Find a Grave but his son’s birth town of Petilia Policastro is more likely), on 4 December 1862 (per Find a Grave headstone and 1862 per census data)

2. married to Maria Carbelli (apparently died before 1905)

children born in Italy:

3. Anthony Pace (born 9 February 1894, Petilia Policastro, Italy per naturalization)

4. Luigi Pace (born 1897 per census data)

Emigrated to United States in 1902.

Second wife Maria Rizza (Ricci?) but probably married in United States

Go first to Family Search and search the catalogue for the town. If Family Search do not have records then they have not been digitized and you will have to write to the town for the copies you need.

Most of the record dates you mention are missing...

However, I was able to find the birth of Luigi Pace in Petilia Policastro on 3 February 1898.

Mother: Maria Carvelli, farmer, his wife
Child born at home in Via Monte Cristo (no number) at 10:20 AM on 3 February, and presented on 6 February.
He was given the name Luigi.

Birth of Pietro Pace on 16 July 1892 in Petilia Poiicastro.

Given the name PIETRO

AND.. This appears to be the firstborn (named after Luigi's father)
Another generation back is named in the record.

I was hoping there was some source beyond FamilySearch (I tried antenati.cultura.gov.it but couldn't find anything), but I guess not. Apparently I just didn't try hard enough on Family Search.
