If you need for italian citizenship the certificate is signed by the parish priest, then sent to the Cancelleria of the Diocesi to be legalized.
(in some dioceses it's made directly by the diocese).
In the US I think you need also an apostille, someone else will know better.

Did anyone ever use the website below to request baptism records?

It allows you to choose the church and submit a request for certificati anagrafici.
