Birth Giovanna Tommasin - can not read and translate handwriting

Post by DebbieBozkurt »

Hi

Was told my friend who I am doing family research for, her great Grandmother Antonietta Tommasin had a child when she was only 13 called Giovanna Thomasine/Tommasin (various spelling) born in 1910 and died in 1983 Padua. After someone on this forum has been showing me how to look up Italian records, I waded through the 1910 births for Padua and think I found what I am looking for (from index at front of book)– but now not so certain, I am reading it right, is different to read the writing and I can not workout who is the mother and who is the father if mentioned. Can anyone help, apologies my Italian is very limited to what I can work out and use Google translate and I cannot read the writing.

Thank You

I think you’re referring to the act on the top left. #1060
As erudita pointed out, it’s not the one you’re looking for.
This one is for a boy named Tramarin Giovanni.
The only Tommasin in that part of the register is another boy named Gino, but there are other parts in that volume and also other registers for that year.

Thank you , just found the Gino one looking at the same volume, just got to the index at page 600 odd and can not see it there. A family member has just confirmed she did have a baby at age 13, so will have another look when I come home from work tonight. I thought there was only one book under Nati 1910 but will check again.

Thanks but as far as I am aware the child was registered as Giovanna Tommasin 1910, also have a note that she died in 1983 but I do not know if she married. She was not a Soggia and her mother was Antoinette Tommasin age 13. Antoinette went on to have another child father unknown - Armando Tommasin 1921 who I have a note that he died in 1934. This was before she "met" her partner Giovanni Soggia - first child on that relationship born 1925
