Translation of documents

Post by slinkysilv »

Hi just another annoying question - how do you guys translate documents - I am having such a hard time - I managed to find a death certificate for my grandmother's baby sister -

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 64/LzZJeG9

but bugger me if I can understand a word that is written - how do you all do it.

I just noticed your death record is free-form so the above guide for a structured format won't help you in this case. But it should be helpful for later documents.

The following which includes a link to “Italian Records Extraction – An Instructional Guide” is a really good resource for helping with Italian Civil Records. I fully recommend it. https://script.byu.edu/italian-handwrit ... tion-guide
