Dottore
Is there a feminine form for dottore, or is that used for both genders?
Re: Dottore
That would be "dottoressa"

Oh, I'm glad I asked. Do you happen to know what it would be in Napoletana dialect?

Like principessa?
Re: Dottore
Online I’m seeing that in Neopolitan dialect the word is dutturissa.

Re: Dottore
That's interesting. Sicilians also tend to replace "o" with "u", as in beddu instead of bello. They also might replace e with i, but I'm less familiar with that.
I have a friend whose mother's family from Naples has some Sicilian in-laws here in America, and he reports that they most often understand each other when speaking in there respective dialects.
