The diocese record is image 60, bottom right, folio 60. Date Nov 21, 1859.lyn1982 wrote: 30 Nov 2025, 16:43 Need someone with access to the archiviostoricodiocesiag site would like a translation of the marriage in Favara between Salvatore Fradella and Giovannia (or Joanna?) Lentini.

The groom’s mother was deceased at the time. Her first name is given as Pasqua in the church record. Buggea was her surname. The title Magistri appears before her father’s name which was Calogero Fradella. They were a married couple in this town when Pasqua was alive.
Giovanna Lentini was the daughter of Magistri* (title) Giovanni Lentini and Gaetana Simone. They were a married couple in this town.
Neither the groom nor bride had been previously married.
Occupation and ages not given in the church marriage record.

Re: Translation - discese of agrigento site
Well thats interesting. How does a sulfer miner afford to send his son to school to become a doctor? I guess he must have been in charge - hence the church record saying something about magistre.
Re: Translation - discese of agrigento site
Thank for a great translation as always. I think the title must be referring to his work - that he was in charge or something.erudita74 wrote: 30 Nov 2025, 19:55The diocese record is image 60, bottom right, folio 60.
