Hello,

I am trying to find out my 3rd great-grandparents parants

Based on what I have found, i belive at the time they lived in
Cannava, Rizziconi, Reggio Calabria, Calabria, Italy

Pasquale Maurici

and his wife

Eufemia Fedele

(i am trying to find the mother and father of Pasquale Maurici and Eufemia Fedele)


Their son was my 2nd great-grandfather, Francesco Maurici
B:12 Feb 1883 Rizziconi, Reggio Calabria, Italy

D:1967 Sant Eufemia D'Aspromonte Reggio Calabria, Calabria, Italy

In the 10-year index of births in Rizziconi (1871-1880) there are 3 children born to Pasquae Maurici and Eufemia Fedele in years 1875, 1876, and 1880. I did not find births in the 1861-1870 index.
These children were Maria Grazia (1875), Anna Maria (1876) and Giuseppe (1880).

Was it possible at all to find anything on the parents of Pasquale Maurici as well as Eufemia Fedele

The marriage of Pasquale and Eufemia would show parents. If they were married in Rizziconi, the years 1866-1874 those records are only available while visiting a LDS Family History Center or affiliated library.

I also looked for the death of Pasquale (prior to his son's marriage in 1904) which would have indicated who his parents were. I did not find a death in Rizziconi in years 1888-1904).

You say you found the birth of your 2nd GGF Francesco in 1883.
I do not find any birth acts for the years after 1865 (again, available at LDS Family History Center.) Can you post the records you have found or referenced?

Was your 2nd GGF, Francesco, married in Italy?

Here is the marriage of Francesco Maurici, born in Rizziconi (son of deceased Pasquale Maurici and deceased Eufemia Fedele) in August 1907, with Rosa Rao (daughter of Francesco Rao and Domenica Infantino.)

The Processetti (attachment documents) for this marriage would contain the death act of Pasquale Maurici, which would name his parents. Unfortunately, these are not available online.

You can write to the town of Sant'Eufemia D'Aspromote, which would hold this processetti.

Based on the marriages of her sons in 1904 and 1907, Eufemia died sometime between those dates. Unfortunately, after checking the indices for Rizziconi for those years, I have not found her.
Her death act should reveal the names of her parents.
