name of Church for marriage
Re: name of Church for marriage
It is not mentioned, as since 1865 civil and religious marriages took place separately.
Only after 1929 religious marriages started again having civil relevance (but upon communication of the priest to the Town Offices)

Re: name of Church for marriage
Despite the fact that in 1891, the year of the civil marriage, only civil and not church marriages were recognized by the civil state as being legal, many still had, or had had, a church marriage. The fact that, at the time of this civil marriage, two children born from the natural union of this couple, were now legitimized by this 1891 civil marriage, it’s highly possible that this couple did, in fact, previously have a church marriage before the birth of the first child in 1897. Unfortunately, there are no online church marriages for the town, nor does the civil record give a specific location where the couple lived in the town which might help narrow down the specific church in the town where such a religious marriage may have taken place.

Thanks for correcting my typo, Livio. Yes, 1887 is correct.

Thank you PippoM, liviomoreno and erudita74 for your help and explanations
Re: name of Church for marriage
Based on the addresses in the birth records, this may be the correct parish. You could try sending an email to inquire if this couple had had a church marriage there. Make sure to include their names and a several year time span with your request (1886-1891, for example). There’s an email address in the link below.

Hopefully you’ll get a positive reply. It’s a hit or miss situation, unfortunately.
