Comune di Sesto Fiorentino--need help understanding website

Post by peggymckee »

Here is the web-address of Stato Civile for Comune di Sesto Fiorentino. I don't speak Italian--but I don't see that requests for birth certificates can be made via Email. (I need certificate for my GF born 1887)

http://www.comune.sesto-fiorentino.fi.i ... 531SFI0505

Could someone who knows Italian either confirm that I can't make the request by Email--or point me to the correct Email address?

Many thanks, Peggy M

Hello Peggy M,

You can request a death certificate via email. You need to cklick on 'Decesso' on the left then scroll down and then click on 'Scrivi all'ufficio'.
The cost for the certificate is of Euro 1.03.

Peggy you need of birthact ?.. so by this webpage it is the right email and it is possible to send a email request to:
SERVIZI DEMOGRAFICI

http://www.comune.sesto-fiorentino.fi.i ... 031SFI0300

asking the birthact of ancestor, providing all helpful infos and your correct address for to receive it... if the birthact must be helpful for italian citizenship request, you must to request the:
Estratto dell'ATTO di NASCITA- Modello PLURILINGUE of your ancestor

regards, suanj

My grandfather, Nello Marchi, was born in Sesto Fiorentino in 1887 but died in Chicago in 1958. Nello's parents were Luigi & Emilia also from Sesto Fiorentino. Nello's birth address was Via delle Panche, 53 (if family records can be believed.) I do not know Emilia's maiden name.

I suppose the gravestone you found was not a Marchi one? All the best, Peggy M

No it was not Marchi one, if you want to know where your Luigi and Emilia are buried in Sesto Fiorentino cemetery, in ordert to see if there is any tombstone left, first of all you need to know when they died.
I hope it helps

Many thanks! I am in the process of ordering microfilms from FHC & writing to the comune, so I hope to have more information in a month or two. All the best, Peg
