Falletti Family
Re: Falletti Family
My Aunt was Margret Falletti-Toth who lived in West Frankfort, Ill. Your mother must have been my cousin. Her brother was my Father, Joseph Falletti. Virgina, is she your mother?
Re: Falletti Family
Margret was my aunt,. My Father was Joe Falletti her brother. Is your mother Virginia? I lived in West Frankfort until 1981, then moved north. Virgina has alot of information about our family. When I go to Italy in September I should have more to share.

You left West Frankfort 2yrs afer I was born, I still live there, but am moving soon to Benton Il. You can e-mail me at knlcalonne@hotmail.com my name is Kevin Calonne. I have a picture of matteo, and a picture of the falletti castle in Italy, but after Matteo I am lost on our Family tree. We are all curious about our family, including my mom and aunt, and sister.
Re: Falletti Family
Virginia has helped me recently by giving me copies of ships records, letters, birth certificates etc.
I will be going to the Falletti Castle while in Italy. I send pictures to Virgina so she can share them. I'm also going to Pertusio and look into records and hopefull met relatives. I have names and adresses for many Falletti families in the area.
Borolo, where the castle is, is having a win festival in September featuring wines from the area. One is the Monfalletto vineyard which is still owned by the Falletti family line.
I will e-mail you mu e-mail address so you can contact me directly.
Tell Virginia I said hi.

Re: Falletti Family
Hello DFalletti, you say you have names on Falletti Families? Can you tell me if any of the Falletti's have relatives, that were from Falletti Familie Dynesty? The Falletti people I am searching is one named Alphonso Falletti born in 1875?, who fled Italy hidng from his family. Alphonso came to America in 1900. This friend of mine who is the relative to Alphonso wanting to know information on the family, the Falletti Family had a castle, they were royality. The reason this Alphonso Falletti fled was that his father had an arranged marriage for him, Alphonso did not want to marry, so he fled to America and hid out the rest of his life. This friend of mine has an original family crest. If you can help me please. This Alphonso had a sister named Lina or something sounding like that. His mothers name was Emily
Re: Falletti Family
Hi C,
I'll try to share what I have. The Falletti Castle is in Borolo, you can search the internet, type in the word "Falletti" or "Borolo" and you will be able to find historical information.
My family was part of the royalty at one time and much like many other Fallettis', lost connection after the vineyards and were sold. Then the war happened and more we scattered.
My grandfather's family sent him to America so he wouldn't be pressed into military service in 1917. His brother was a general in the Italian army and another brother worked at the consulate in France. Another Brother was sent out with him. The others stayed.
I plan on looking into the family tree when I'm in Italy. I'll take your information and see what comes up.
The name Alfonso did come up in past information I had but I think maybe he would have been related, maybe one of my grandfather's brothers sons.
I'm trying to find all my grandfathers brother's names that would help me track backward and forward.
More on this later.

Re: Falletti Family
Thank You DFalletti. Alphonso Falletti's mother's name was Emelia, from looking at Alphonso's obituary. See in about 1907 or 1908, Alphonso after marrying an American girl from Kansas fled to Canada, to hide out. Something happen when he had taken a trip back to Italy in about 1906?. So Alphonso hid out in Canada, until about 1917, he and his wife and along with their 2 children came back to the United States, but they had change their last name. Alphonso changed his name to Frank Blair. He no longer used the Falletti name. The stories have been told that the family lived in fear, feared the Falletti Family would find them. Alphonso or Frank moved alot, ended up in Texas. Just let me know if you find anything. Thanks

Re: Falletti Family
Thank you for writing.
My Grandfather was born in 1890. It is possible that Matteo Falleti born in 1866 was my grandfather's father's brother. I hope to find out who my grandfathers brothers were when I go to Italy end of this month. I will keep these names(Michele FALETTI and Felicita MENIETTA) and see if I can find out who is who. Any falletti born in Pertusio is related. So I guess would mkae us related.
My email adress is dfalletti57@comcast.net. I will share what I have. My Grandfathers Father was Giuseppe. My grandfather named is daughter Margaret Alda Falletti. He named her after his aunt Margaret Pomatto.
My grandmothers name was Domenica Marianna Vallero.
However on my grandfathers birth certificate his godmother's name was Margherita Pomatto.
I need to have these papers beter translated. They are old and faded.
Firmin Falletti was either his brother or uncle. Firmin was attached to the Italian Chamber of commerce located in Paris and helped my grandfather come to america. Another name is Peitro Falletti who sponsered my grandfathers' coming to America.
I still have peices of this puzzle to put together. Any information would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks for writting hope to hear more.

Re: Falletti Family
Hello Dferrero.
Yes, we are indeed related! We share the same Great Grandparents and Great-Great Grandparents
My Grandfather John(Jack) and your Grandmother Catherine were brother and sister.
Here are a few pictures you may not have;
This is Matthew and Margaret (Pomatto) Faletti and their eight children, circa 1912.
Back row, L to R, Vince, Jack, Bill, and Mike
Front, L to R, Catherine, Chuck(Matthew's lap), George(Margaret's lap) and Phyllis.

And this is Michele and Felicita (Menietta) Faletti (Our Great-Great Grandparents) and their children. circa 1885.
On left is William, standing center is Matthew(Great Grandfather), and right is Mary.

And finally is a picture of Matthew and Margaret Faletti, taken April 28, 1938 in Standard, Illinois on their 50th wedding anniversary.

I would certainly enjoy corresponding and sharing whatever information I have regarding our families. email is faletti@aol.com
