Dominici

Post by jdfc33 »

I am trying to find out what part of Italy my great-grandfather was from. The only information I have is that his last name was Dominici. His wife's name was Teresa. He died in his late twenties. His wife put all her children in a Rhode Island state institution because she could not take care of them. She got remarried and took out the youngest child. My grandfather and his brothers remained there until they were teenagers. My grandfather's name was Umberto Dominici. The institution americanized his name to Albert Domenico. Please help me figure out where my grandfather was born.

Hi:excuse my english.Reply your email:
I've made search many great from 1898 to 1910, any possible misspelling surname Dominici
; I've found this, only an Umberto child travelling for Providence, but mother not Teresa but Cristina
http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipM ... 4095040078
more an Dominici husband and wife Teresa but not travelling for Providence, but New york
http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipM ... 2875070582
More are 2 Dominici families:
http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipM ... 2060010325

http://www.ellisisland.org/search/viewT ... 2262130128
with childs, but not are Umberto first name...

More an Umberto Dominici but age 24 (very misspelled this name, but from reading ship's manifest really is Umberto Dominici)coming from San Lorenzo(are various towns with this name)
http://www.ellisisland.org/search/shipM ... 2008010449
this record is interesting, please to consider well this trace why it was use in Italy that the cousinses were homonymous...
